Bhagavad Gita – the Celestial song – appears in the middle of India’s greatest epic Mahabaratha. Gita is the essence of all the Upanishads found in the four vedas. Gita is not only a distillation of the collective wisdom of sages, it is also a manual for leading a successful and fulfilling life with a purpose.
Over the next year I will be distilling the essence of Gita into twenty self-contained themes for practice. These classes will be held on Zoom for the Chinmaya Mission Boston, Newton members. The themes will range across a variety of day-to-day challenges we face. I will pick examples across all life stages from teenagers to householders to retirees and renunciates.
This multi-stage journey of our life is taking place within a larger cycle of birth and rebirth. The brilliance of Gita comes from its practical tips not only across different stages within a single life – but also the different lives within a multi-life journey of the Jiva to attain Moksha.
I will share the key messages and the essence of our weekly discussions here.
